As a family of winegrowers, we live from and with nature. An ecological balance in the vine cultures, combined with reduced pruning, the thinning out of leaves and grapes as well as a late harvest form the basis for top qualities. The distinctive taste of our wines is due to the strongly continental microclimate of the Saale-Unstrut region. Here above the 51st parallel, in the rain shadow of the Harz Mountains, the summers are hot and the winters cold - better climatic conditions for our vines are hard to imagine. In addition, thanks to the long growing season and the late harvest, often not until October, the grapes have enough time to ripen and develop their full aroma.
