Anyone who rides the Unstrut Cycle Path has about 190 kilometers to cover from its source in Kefferhausen, Thuringia, to where it flows into the Saale at Bl\u00fctengrund near Naumburg. From now on, a ride will be even more exciting, because curious people can now ask for information about interesting places along the cycle path at any time. For this purpose, eavesdropping points were developed together with regional local experts, which can be played back via cell phone. This turns the Unstrut Cycle Path into a listening experience!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Thanks to a grant from the Thuringian State Office for Agriculture and Rural Areas (TLLLR) and the LEADER cooperation project \"Touristic valorization of the Unstrut Cycle Route\" of the LEADER regional action group \"RAG S\u00f6mmerda-Erfurt e.V.\", 22 so-called listening points have been created along the Unstrut Cycle Route. Again and again, the view is directed to interesting details and exciting knowledge is conveyed - about sights, nature reserves, the Saale-Unstrut wine and much more. The special thing about it is that connoisseurs of the region themselves tell something - a very individual and personal insight is possible in this way.<\/p>\n

Dr. Matthias Henniger from the Saale-Unstrut-Triasland Geo-Nature Park will have his say, as will Sandra Polomski-Woithon from the Saale-Unstrut Winegrowers' Association, Bettina Pfaff from the Nebra Ark Visitor Center, Andrea Knopik, director of the Memleben Monastery and Imperial Palace Museum, Monika Elstner, a former city guide from Naumburg, Dr. D\u00f6rfler from the city of S\u00f6mmerda and Brother Klaus from the Werningshausen Monastery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The control of the listening stations is possible via the \"Lauschtour-App\". It can be used for Android<\/a> and iOS<\/a> free of charge. Then start the tour \"Listening Points on the Unstrut Cycle Route\" in the app and you're ready to go.<\/p>\n

GPS usage automatically triggers the listening points on the go and you don't have to get your phone out of your pocket. The location detection or location services should be activated on the smartphone before use.<\/p>\n

In order to make as many cycling enthusiasts as possible aware of the new offer, information postcards are available at the tourist information offices. The Unstrut Cycle Path is especially popular with families and touring cyclists. It passes charming villages and towns, such as Dingelst\u00e4dt, M\u00fchlhausen, Bad Langensalza, S\u00f6mmerda, Heldrungen, Artern, Ro\u00dfleben, Nebra, Laucha as well as Freyburg (Unstrut) and leads through the Reiser Valley, the Unstrut Valley Nature Reserve, the Thuringian Gate and the Saale-Unstrut-Triasland Nature Park. The Hainich National Park is also not far away.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Along the way are old castles, important monasteries and churches, beautiful parks, water mills and historical museums. The typical Thuringian towns of M\u00fchlhausen with its historic old town and M\u00fchlhausen plum jam, the spa and rose town of Bad Langensalza and S\u00f6mmerda, well-known industrial town, make the bike path unmistakable. The castle Gebesee, the moated castle Heldrungen, the model railway Wiehe or the Ark Nebra, to name just a few of the attractions - are waiting to be \"driven\". In the direction of Naumburg, you will cycle through the northernmost German quality wine-growing region of Saale-Unstrut, past spectacular vineyard slopes and the Rotk\u00e4ppchen sparkling wine cellar, to the Naumburger Bl\u00fctengrund and end at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Naumburg Cathedral.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t
