St. Mary's Church was built at the beginning of the 13th century, probably on the initiative of Landgrave Ludwig IV and his wife Elisabeth of Thuringia. It impresses by its closed appearance, by its clear interior design and by individual works of art (among other things, Mary's altar and stained glass windows). From Easter to October, services are usually celebrated in the church every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. (for current information, please contact the parish office).
