From Mulhouse from it continues over the railroad crossing near the Wagenstedt bridge. In Gartenstraße the Unstrut river is crossed. The path continues on the street "Im Flarchen" and there to Görmar through Burgstraße, Kirchberg and Siedlung.
Continue on the road (a short distance) and on the old railroad line to the shooting house in Bollstedt. Immediately before it, the Unstrut cycle path turns left and behind the shooting range to the right, where it continues close to the river to Altengottern.
Altengottern is crossed via Friedensstraße, Am Graben and Kanalstraße. Behind the cemetery and the church at the end of the village, the route continues to the right to Thamsbrück. Shortly before Thamsbrück runs the asphalt path on the Unstrut dike. A view of the Unstrut weir opens up. To the right of the weir, the Unstrut runs like a canal. The cycle path, however, leads along the Alte Unstrut to the Obermühle.
The Hainich National Park "Yellow Route" branches off from the Unstrut Cycle Path behind the Unstrut Bridge. From here, the worth seeing city center of Bad Langensalza is easy to reach. After crossing the main road, the Unstrut Cycle Path leads over the Jüdenhügel to the Riedgraben and on to Nägelstedt.
A left turn lets the cyclists go around Thamsbrück in a wide arc and onto the Großwelsbacher Landstraße. After passing the Eiscafé Klaus in der Au in Thamsbrück, continue left into Merxlebener Weg until you reach the large arrow pointing to the right. Continue along the former route of the narrow-gauge railway line until you reach Bad Langensalza.
