From Artern the Unstrut cycle path runs along the right bank to Ritteburg. From here you drive to Roßleben on the right bank of the Unstrut on a dike path. During the onward journey the Bottendorfer Mill passes. The dike path continues to the Unstrut bridge on the road from Roßleben to Wiehe. The town of Roßleben can now be visited. At the bridge over the Egelsee, it is worth taking a detour to Wiehe to see what is probably the world's largest model railroad layout.
The Unstrutradweg now crosses the border from Thuringia to Saxony-Anhalt. After a steep climb opens up from the Wendelstein an impressive view of the Unstrut valley. The bike path continues in the direction of Memleben with its monastery as a monument of the Romanesque Road and the zoo and turns before the bridge.
Near the river, the route continues through the scenic valley with narrow and steep slopes and red sandstone cliffs. Around the ark Nebra to visit, you follow the directions of the sky disc cycle path. In Nebra, continue past the Sommerfrische café garden and the Nebra train station over the bridge. Below Altenburg Castle, the Unstrut Cycle Path follows the course of the river around Nebra on the right bank.
