First mentioned in the 9th century, it is one of the largest and best preserved castles in central Germany. In recent history, the FilmBurg became the secret star among the filming locations in Central Germany. Props and costumes from "Der Medicus", "Die Päpstin" and many fairy tales can be seen here.
