Animal and adventure park Lützen

The animal enclosure was built by the town of Lützen in 1962 and opened to the public on March 31. The animal enclosure itself is bordered by the forest-like park, Martzschpark, which was created from the endowment of the citizen Karl-Louis Martzsch. The site of the current animal enclosure is not part of this area. Nevertheless, the two sections, with a total area of 13, fit together harmoniously and serve the recreation of visitors in equal measure. Martzsch Park and parts of the animal enclosure are classified as a forest under nature conservation law.

Our association-run animal and adventure park in Lützen has numerous attractions. The enclosures are mostly home to native wild animals such as red deer, wild boar, foxes and raccoons, as well as numerous domestic animals such as goats, sheep, mini-pigs, etc. A special attraction is our petting enclosure, where you have direct access to domestic animals.
Young visitors can currently let off steam in two playgrounds. In summer 2020, an adventure play barn with a play tower will be built, which, like the themed water playground, will be partly financed by EU funding.

The Erlebnispark e. V. also has a Trollschänke restaurant, which serves delicious ice cream, ice cream products and homemade cakes as well as snacks. As a special attraction, the "Hollehaus" bakery will open in spring 2020. There you can buy freshly baked bread from the wood-fired oven and enjoy good, simple rural cuisine.
Another experience will be the educational bakery, where visitors can make their own bread. This project is also partly financed by EU funding.
From April to October, you can get active with pony rides and in the privately run climbing forest.
