The Cafè zum Esel is idyllically located on the cycle path in Wetterzeube opposite the old mill on the White Elster. Together with her husband Mathias Barth, Alexandra Gey-Barth has created a place to slow down. The interior impresses with its attention to detail and, combined with the warm hospitality and handmade delicacies, invites you to linger and switch off from everyday life.

Surrounded by nature, you can unwind in the Cafè zum Esel and treat yourself to lovingly prepared delicacies made from regional ingredients. For example, the coffee comes from RöstGut - a small Leipzig roastery. The goat's cheese also comes from Schleckweda and the game specialties are made by Matthias Helmig from the Wilde Manufaktur in Droyßig.
