Welcome to our vacation apartment near the Saale dams in Thuringia. Our vacation apartment is located in an idyllic side valley of the Saale, not far from Schleiz and Saalburg at the Bleilochstausee. Our vacation apartments (apartment 1 Im Mühlengrund, apartment 2 Lärchenstübel and room Kastanienblick) with three bedrooms offer enough space for six people, maximum up to 9 people and is the ideal starting point for a varied vacation in the Saaleland. Apartment 1 Im Mühlengrund, Apartment 2 Lärchenstübel and the Kastanienblick room are all located in the farmhouse. Im Mühlengrund and the Kastanienblick room are on the first floor. The apartment 2 Lärchenstübel is built in maisonette style. The kitchen-living room of the Lärchenstübel is on the 1st floor, the bedroom and bathroom are in the converted attic. Elsa the cat, sheep, cows and chickens also live on the farm.
On request you can have our lovingly prepared breakfast (surcharge). We also offer a bread roll service (surcharge).
The Saale, one of the most important tributaries of the Elbe, has its source in the Fichtelgebirge (this is where the challenging Saale cycle path begins, which almost passes Grochwitz). On its way, the Saale flows through dark forests, narrow gorges and picturesque reservoirs. The landscape along the Saale is also known as "little Norway".
