The municipal library is located in the immediate vicinity of the tourist information office and the spa gardens. There is space for around 24,000 media (including books, audio books, CDs, DVDs, console games, magazines and e-media) on an area of approx. 500m².

Events are also regularly held on the premises. Since 2008, the city library has been located in the "Haus zum Grünen Schild" near the Marktkirche.
