The Danakil restaurant is located in the heart of the egapark and is definitely worth a visit. Since April 2021, it has been a place to meet friends, chat, relax and enjoy. Since then, it has impressed with its light and modern cuisine. From African specialties to Thuringian dumplings and grandma's country cake - no wish is left unfulfilled here. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available. The drinks on offer in the restaurant include various non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, draught beer and coffee specialties. The visit is crowned by the unique setting in the middle of the Danakil and the view of the Wüstenhaus.

Inside, the restaurant offers space for 100 guests. On sunny days, we are happy to invite you to our outdoor area, which, with 200 outdoor seats, offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the peace and quiet amidst the sea of flowers and leave everyday life behind.
