Modern architecture, high functionality, economic and ecological execution were the basis of the design: To mark the 100th birthday of Ernst Neufert in 1999, the Neufert Box was built as a space for events and exhibitions. With the Neufert Box, whose dimensions, material and manufacturing technology refer to the neighboring house of the former Bauhaus student Ernst Neufert, the architects wanted to make a contribution to the cultural life of the city of Weimar.
