The Eisenberg city was once the headquarters of the Wilhelm Jäger company. There were three other large porcelain factories in the town (Reinecke, Kalk and Bremer & Schmidt) as well as several smaller porcelain painters and dealers.

The aim of the exhibition is to make the porcelain designs of the Wilhelm Jäger company from the Art Deco period known to a wide audience. The aim is to show how innovative and at the same time enterprising the company from Thuringia was.

Visitors to the exhibition can see that Eisenberg by no means only produced "blue and white" - on the contrary: it was the success of the Art Deco porcelains that paved the way for the later straw pattern bestsellers.

The smallest porcelain museum in Germany - another way to describe the location of the exhibition. The 80 or so exhibits are presented on just 30 square meters.

The small private museum is housed in the former Walter Gruber toy factory in Eisenberg. This factory was founded in the 1920s at Karl-Spahn-Straße 8 and only existed for a short time. Today, the building is home to Wilhelm Jäger's Porcelain World.
