A striking building in the Steinach townscape is the "New Castle", built between 1747 and 1755. It was the residence of the former owner of the Obersteinach hammer works, Tobias Otto.

The Inner courtyard of the palace is now a real highlight thanks to a temporary, translucent roof installed in 2012. The venue for numerous events.
