The mill store with its old German bakery is an insider tip. Fridays are baking days. The flour needed for baking is produced in the Buchfarter water mill. Various fresh home-baked breads and rolls as well as home-baked cakes from the old German bakery are on offer in the small mill store. In addition to the bakery, the mill store offers cozy seating that invites you to linger. In the warmer months, the small beer garden is also open. You can enjoy a meal of bread and a beer from the village brewery on the spot.

By arrangement, families, businesses and coach companies can use the premises for celebrations and other events. In this context, we are also happy to offer a guided tour of the mill. Our small store also offers other regional products such as freshly smoked trout or eel from our own smoking oven, Buchfarter Mühlenobstler, Mühlen-Doktor (herbal schnapps), homemade spreads, mustard in approx. 20 different flavors from the Kleinhettstedt art and mustard mill, honey from the beekeeper around the corner, various types of dried fruit, treats for young and old, nightingale noodles from Jena and, of course, various products from the Buchfarter mill.
