Landscape education park at Erfurt University of Applied Sciences
Leipziger Straße in the north-east of Erfurt is not only home to the Faculty of Landscape Architecture, Horticulture and Forestry, but also to the associated, but freely accessible, landscape teaching park of the university of applied sciences.
In 1946, the technical college for horticulture was established here on the war-damaged site of the traditional seed-growing company Haage & Schmidt, which developed into the expanded external site of today's Erfurt University of Applied Sciences.
The 2.5-hectare park area between the university buildings attracts visitors with flower beds, trees, green spaces and a pond. In this insider tip on the outskirts of the city, diversity and biodiversity are just as important as research and teaching.
