Pilgrimage church of St. Mary's Birth Renshausen
Pilgrimage church of St. Mary's Birth Renshausen
At the end of the 17th century, a chapel dedicated to St. Anne stood not far from today's 14th station of the Way of the Cross from Bodensee to Höherberg. In 1850, St. Joseph's Chapel was rebuilt due to its dilapidation. Today, the miraculous image of St. Joseph is located in the side aisle of the parish church together with a restored image of St. Anne, which originally had its place in the old chapel on the Höherberg.
The St. Joseph pilgrimage has been around since 1723, making it the oldest and best-known pilgrimage in Germany.
