This field name commemorates the daughter Meta (born 1867) of Count Karl von Hopfgarten (1832-1889) on Nazza, Mülverstedt and Ihlefeld. The lady-in-waiting of the Duchess of Meiningen, who was fond of her home region, liked to visit Nazza and the Hainich in the summer months. At this point, on the descent through the Schliemengrund to Nazza, she liked to rest during her visits. The people of Nazza erected a bench in her memory and called this spot "Meta's Ruh".
