Eisenberg Town Hall
Eisenberg Town Hall
The town hall of the district town of Eisenberg, located on the market square, was first mentioned in 1576. It was rebuilt in the Renaissance style in the 16th century, as can still be seen from the inscriptions in the vestibule to the mayor's office and above the western entrance.
The town coat of arms of Eisenberg, which was granted town charter in 1274, is carved in sandstone above the entrance portal. The large tower was extended to its current form. In 1999, the town of Eisenberg won the national prize for the most beautiful town hall. The town hall is the seat of the municipal administration.
