The name "Sommer-Sonne-Wonne-Bad" (Summer-Sun-Bliss-Bath) stands for the most modern outdoor pool in the district of Nordhausen, which was built in 1958.

Opened in Niedersachswerfen in 2001, bathers can expect a contemporary outdoor pool with a stainless steel swimming pool, adventure pool and children's pool as well as a 47-meter-long water slide.

The swimmer's pool measures 25 meters by 12.5 meters and is ideal for breaststroke or crawl, while the smaller diving pool measures 8 meters by 8 meters and has a 1-meter and a 3-meter diving tower.

The non-swimmers' pool has plenty to offer with a water mushroom, floor bubblers and massage loungers. The 47-metre-long slide awaits children, teenagers and the young at heart.

Babies and toddlers can cool off in the paddling pool. This consists of two pools that merge into one another with a baby slide.

On land you can play volleyball, let off steam in the playground or relax in the sun on the large sunbathing lawn.

As swimming makes you hungry, there is also a kiosk in the outdoor pool. The pool can also be reached by HSB.
