The public library's media collection comprises around 120,000 media units and offers books, magazines, newspapers, games, CDs and DVDs as well as a growing number of electronic media. The public library with its historic vaulted cellar has its own lecture and event room. This is used for children's and youth events, but also offers the perfect atmosphere for music, literature and theater as well as for discussions on current cultural and political topics. The vaulted cellar is also a space for constantly changing exhibitions.
