Built between 1794 and 1836 according to plans by the Würzburg architects Geigl and Gärtner, this church is a rare example of church construction in the neoclassical style in the surrounding area. The Carolingian-Ottoman palatine chapel probably once stood here.

The Roman Catholic parish church of Maria Himmelfahrt has a white interior and resembles a Greek temple with its large white columns.
