The former convent church of the Regular Augustinian nuns was destroyed several times by fire. Last rebuilt in the 18th century, it can now be seen in its renovated Baroque interior. The life-size stone sculpture of a Madonna from the 14th century has been preserved from the former Gothic interior.

The Cruciskirche is slightly hidden at the end of Neuwerkstraße, roughly between Hirschgarten and Brühler Garten, and is also known as the "Neuwerkskirche".
