Wieland Fountain Weimar
Wieland Fountain Weimar
The Wieland Fountain was first erected on the square in front of the Frauentor in 1857. At the time, the fountain had to make way for the reconstruction and rebuilding of the street at Wielandplatz. It was dismantled and stored until it was later reinstalled as a symbol of the square.
Wielandplatz was named after Christoph Martin Wieland.
