The fairground was built in the 1950s as an inner-city open-air stage with a corresponding functional building and is located in the immediate vicinity of the culture house in the center of Bleicherode. Over the years, this has been upgraded piece by piece. A major renovation is planned. Nevertheless, the fairground is the center of the traditional and popular miners' festival. In the future, various open airs with different formats will take place before and after the vacations.

The fairground has a seating capacity of 800 seats with a dance floor, 1,000 seats without a dance floor or 1,500 - 1,700 standing and sitting places. The event area around the fairground, i.e. at the monument and in front of the old academy, can also be planned for large events.
