According to documents, Breitenbach already had a church in the Middle Ages. The present church was built from 1736 and consecrated in 1749. The interior is reddish in colour, the pulpit and the baptismal font date from 1745. The high altar and the altar of the Virgin Mary were also created around 1750. The tower has a pointed roof and is around 46 meters high.
