Bismuth*Object90
Bismuth*Object90
In Wismut*Objekt90, the complex subject of bismuth is presented in its entirety for the first time.
From the first "wild years" of the world's fourth largest uranium ore producer to its development into a modern mining company and the remediation of its legacy, the exhibition covers all the stages of Wismut.
With a multivision show, historical documents, in-depth content on panels and terminals and impressive exhibits, the exhibition offers information and background for every requirement. This takes into account the different interests and prior knowledge of visitors. When visitors step outside after their visit, they can see the results of the restoration work with their own eyes. Where today an impressive landscape presents itself, the crater of the Lichtenberg open-cast mine with its surrounding slag heaps once dominated the scene.
