To mark the 100th anniversary of the "Society of Friends in Need", a life-size monument with a bench made of shell limestone was dedicated to the social pedagogue and writer Johannes Falk. Falk was one of the outstanding personalities associated with Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. His literary work is almost forgotten. But the Christmas carol "O du fröhliche" is sung all over the world. His idea of caring for disadvantaged children is still supported today by the Falk Association. A small museum at his last home and place of work in Luthergasse is a reminder of this.
