With a view of Weimar's market square in the ambience of a Renaissance cross vault, the Theater im Gewölbe offers the highest level of artistic and cultural enjoyment in an intimate atmosphere. The repertoire of the private theater, which was founded in 2002, mainly revolves around the so-called "Golden Age" of the city: the lives and works of the poet duo Goethe and Schiller and their contemporaries are presented here from a variety of perspectives. And the audience is always very close to the actors.
