The new desert and jungle house is located on the grounds of the egapark in Erfurt. Water plays a central role here. It impressively shows how the lack or abundance of water affects flora and fauna. While the competition for the sun's rays rages in the warm, humid rainforest, the desert dwellers crave water.
Danakil is an experience for all the senses. Many connections between the two climate zones are shown by landscape scanners, soil sections with explanations or a specially developed app on the circular trail and the search for water.
