Weimar Town Hall
Weimar Town Hall
It burnt down twice and today you can admire the neo-Gothic version, which is modeled on the Hof town hall. The three-storey building has a stepped central tower and a balcony projection above the first floor. The façade features Gothic structural elements and decorative shapes. A porcelain carillon with bells made of Meissen porcelain rings out four times a day. For the annual Christmas market, the east side of the building is transformed into a festively decorated Advent calendar: every day, Santa Claus opens one of the 24 windows together with the children of Weimar.
