Drifting stone
Drifting stone
The Drifting stone is a interesting rock formation located directly on the Rosenkopfstraße road, which connects Suhl (Goldlauter-Heidersbach district) with the ridges of the Thuringian Forest. In summer, this is a wonderful place to take a short refreshment break and enjoy the mountain water trickling down on the skin. In winter, wrapped in frost, the stone presents itself from its most magnificent side. At any time it is a beautiful and popular photo motif.
To the Suhl hutThe Schneekopf summit with the highest viewing platform in the Free State of Thuringia is just a few minutes' walk from here for hikers and skiers.
