Rudolstadt City Library
Rudolstadt City Library
Originally built in 1609 on the school square, the building housed the Rudolstadt grammar school. The library has been housed here since 1896. The library was founded on theological works, which were later supplemented by the princely private library and donations. In 1920, the collection was transferred to the "Thuringian State Library Rudolstadt". An extensive reconstruction of the historic building in 1996/97 now provides the appropriate conditions inside for a modern municipal library. Whether for further education, information or entertainment - you will find the right media in the Rudolstadt municipal library. In addition to books and magazines, there is also a large selection of audio books, music CDs and films. The library's website offers the opportunity to search the catalog, including interlibrary loans for media not in stock in Rudolstadt, and also provides information on the numerous events that the library offers for visitors of all ages. The staff will be happy to answer any questions and help you choose the right media.
