Paradise is considered the green oasis in the middle of the city center, which can offer something for everyone with its diversity. Consisting of three spacious adjoining green areas, the nature reserve forms a place for sports, games and relaxation.

A green oasis of well-being or a romping place for the active, the chilled out and those in love: Jena Paradies Park, classified as a cultural monument since 2002, consists of the green spaces Rasenmühleninsel, Paradies and Oberaue and lives up to its name. In any conceivable weather, whole crowds of people meet here to linger together.

Whether concerts in the glass house or open air, games, sports or cozy barbecues: Jena residents, Jenenser and guests romp around in the park located directly on the Saale River. They all enjoy the luxury of being surrounded by green diversity in the middle of the city center.

The paradise has a lot in store for the different interests: In addition to a large children's playground, a slackline facility and a skate park, you'll find covered seating and tables. If you don't have your own barbecue with you, you can stop at Strand22, the ParadiesCafé or Salü.

Skating in the middle of Jena's Paradiespark: When planning the skatepark, a lot of emphasis was placed on wallrides, high jumps, spectacular transfers and an optimal arrangement of the elements. For the street riders an extra street section, consisting of a pyra with various curbs, Londengab and Ollibox, was created - so there is something for everyone!

Public and free use (Monday to Sunday in the summer period 01.03.-31.10. 08-22 hrs and in the winter period 01.11.- 28/29.02. 08-20 hrs).

Slackline facility

A casual slackline facility with excellent conditions has also been set up for balance artists in the middle of Jena's Paradiespark. There is a fixed line for beginners as well as several attachment points (steel bollards) for your own lines.
