The Friedrichroda swimming pool was built and opened in 1935. The listed sports pool is located right next to the spa gardens and can be reached directly by the Thuringian Forest Railway. It has six 50-metre competition lanes and a diving tower (1, 3, 5 and 10 meters). The water comes from its own spring with a constant temperature of 13.8 °C and healing water quality. A spacious sunbathing lawn and several sports facilities offer a wide range of leisure activities.
