The listed Evangelical Lutheran church is located in the walled church cemetery of Pahren, a district of the town of Zeulenroda-Triebes.

A new church was built in 1774 to replace the one mentioned in the 17th century. It was renovated in 1860 and took on its current appearance as a hall church. The nave, covered with a gabled roof, has a stepped gable and a portico in the west. The recessed choir tower in the east is covered with a bulbous dome topped by a pointed helmet. An apse with a straight end is attached to the east of the tower. The interior has a gallery and is covered by a flat ceiling. The church furnishings include a baptismal font and a crucifix from the 17th century. The pulpit altar was installed in 1860. The organ was built by Karl-Heinrich Voigt in 1920.
