The first stone building on today's Kulturhof was probably erected around 1200. Due to its location in the oldest part of the old town, the building has lived through several eras of the city's history. Today, the more than 500-year-old Waidspeicher in the inner courtyard serves as a setting for exhibitions of contemporary art. In summer, the patrician house on the street is also used for these purposes. Concerts, cinema screenings and theater projects take place in the courtyard during the summer months. An adjoining beer garden and event catering in the courtyard provide refreshments.
