The Kunsthaus is a venue for all genres of art. Painting, sculpture and graphic art as well as photography, film, video, spatial installations, new media, music and drama. Around 10 exhibitions a year with artists from Europe and the region enrich the art scene in southern Thuringia. The exhibitions are accompanied by concerts, theater performances, readings and art discussions. The promotion of young art and artists in the Kunsthaus through the youth gallery plays an important role. The youth gallery was set up and run by young people themselves. Through the combination of different art genres with visual art, the events of the Kunsthaus are increasingly recognized regionally and nationally. With a constantly growing, diverse and high-quality program, the Kunsthaus reaches a large audience.
