The Wandelhalle - this striking building in Eisenach is located on Wartburgallee. Such magnificent buildings are normally only found in large spa towns. But Eisenach is not a spa town. Or is it? In any case, plans to do so sprouted in the Wartburg town around 1900. A spring supplied healing water, spa hotels opened and on July 8, 1906, the Trink- und Wandelhalle was inaugurated on Wartburgallee (today B19).

The historic building has been renovated piece by piece since 2004. The renovation work for the final construction phase began in September 2017 and has now been completed.

The striking, listed building has now been standing for more than 100 years. Throughout the summer, there is therefore an extensive program in the Wandelhalle with numerous events ranging from rock 'n' roll and reggae to a wine festival.
