Ludwig Tower Bad Kissingen
Ludwig Tower Bad Kissingen
The Ludwigsturm stands on the 382 m high Staffelsberg in the west of Bad Kissingen and was built at the end of the 19th century in memory of King Ludwig I.. Originally it was a popular lookout tower, but in the meantime nature has "outgrown" it and the treetops block the view. However, since Bad Kissingen has many great vantage points, this is no loss. With a small seating area, the Ludwigsturm still offers a nice resting place on your hike. In addition, a 3 km long forest discovery trail starts from here, where you can get to know the different "Trees of the Year" of the last 30 years.
