Between Buttstädt and Mannstedt, the bike path runs under the Gänsebachtalbach bridge. The just under 1 km long structure received the German Bridge Building Award in 2014. It is part of the Erfurt-Leipzig/Halle ICE line.

The Gänsebachtal Bridge was awarded the unendowed German Bridge Construction Prize 2014 in the "Road and Railway Bridges" category because, according to the jury, "a very light construction was realized that blends harmoniously into the surroundings and leaves the view from and to the nearby village unobstructed". According to the jury, the bridge impresses with its "aesthetic column rhythm". With the separate treatment of transverse and longitudinal stiffness, "a pioneering design idea is consistently implemented".
