In 1927-1929, Walter Gropius built another private villa in Jena on behalf of Therese Zuckerkandl, a Jewish woman from Vienna. The three-story building, which he adapted to the steep slope below the Sonnenberge by adding a high plinth, is considered a custom-made house. Among its special features is the floating conservatory with terrace. The room program of the residential house was designed for three generations and equipped with furniture from Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau.
