St. Andrew's Church was mentioned as a parish church in 1182. The present building was erected at the beginning of the 13th century at the earliest. The current spatial impression was created during the extensive renovation of 1768/69. The pulpit and altar date from 1679/88. Worth seeing are the significant crucifixion relief above the south portal from 1370 (master of the Severisarcophagus) and a larger-than-life carved relief of Martin Luther from 1548 inside the church. This is the original model, subsequently painted in color, for the reformer's tombstone cast in Erfurt.
