Village church Seitenbrück
Village church Seitenbrück
It is one of the smallest and most inconspicuous churches in the region around Kahla. Originally, it was built as a Romanesque hall church. But it is due to the many reconstructions that not much remained of its old appearance. The function of the choir has been lost, and the current annex on this site is used as a sacristy.
The slate-clad roof tower with the clock and bell mechanism dates from 1865. The late Gothic portal on the west side of the church is still preserved, but has not been used as an entrance for a long time. The interior is accessed through a door on the south side. The interior is very simple and there is a three-sided gallery.
