Green house
Green house
The Green House was built in 1727 as a hunting lodge and has since served the dukes as bad weather accommodation and a "dining hall". The two-storey building with a wooden balcony is located in a forest clearing near the Rieseneck hunting grounds. The simply furnished building has a kitchen, a living room, several bedrooms on the upper and top floors and a balcony. In the immediate vicinity, the ensemble of the Green House includes the former horse stable, the coach house, a game cellar with drying loft and the well house built during the GDR era. Since 2001, the "Rieseneck - Grünes Haus" interest group has been working to preserve the building.
