The Heinse House is one of the oldest buildings in the town center of Langewiesen. As the birthplace of the poet and art theorist Johann Jacob Wilhelm Heinse (1746-1803), it was the residence of his family for many years. The neighboring building was renovated in 2008 and connected to the Heinse House as Haus am Markt. In addition to the tourist information office, an event room and the library, several exhibitions and a gallery with changing guest exhibitions await the interested public.
