The street village of Theuern is made up of two parts. The lower village lies on the Grümpen, at the entrance to the Theuerer Grund. The higher situated Obertheuern on a terrace at the southern foot of the 784 m high Steger stretches towards the edge of the Grümpen valley. The charming location of the village and its surroundings, as well as the Gold Museum, are attractions for those seeking relaxation.
