Our Schwarzatal hiking bus runs daily from April 6 to October 31, 2023 and on weekends and public holidays all year round from Rudolstadt to the start and end points of the stages of the Panorama Trail in the district of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, to the hiking starts in Unterweißbach, Schwarzmühle, at the Barigauer Turm and Lichtenhain and many other places in the Schwarzatal. Take a break from hiking, cycling or excursions into nature and combine this with a stress-free arrival or departure by bus! The Schwarzatal hiking bus departs from Rudolstadt bus station at 8.22 am and travels via Bad Blankenburg, Schwarzburg, Sitzendorf, Barigau, Mellenbach, Schwarzmühle, Meuselbach, Cursdorf, Oberweißbach and Unterweißbach back to Sitzendorf and from there back to Rudolstadt. In Sitzendorf, you can change to a second bus to reach your destination more quickly. Of course, it is also possible to travel from the Schwarzatal to Rudolstadt. In the afternoon, the hiking bus makes the same round trip so that everyone reaches their starting point again at the end.

The bus driver offers a day ticket for the Schwarzatal hiking bus for six euros, which is also valid on the flat route of the Oberweißbacher Berg- und Schwarzatalbahn from Lichtenhain to Cursdorf. A particularly attractive combined offer is the mountain railroad day ticket for 15 euros, with which you can travel for a whole day on the mountain railroad, Schwarzatalbahn, flat route, the hiking bus and the KomBus lines 302, 303, 313, 453 and 215 (partial routes). At weekends, you can also reach the Schwarzatal hiking bus from Saalfeld via KomBus line 453, changing in Sitzendorf. In Bad Blankenburg there is a connection from the hiking bus to the Erfurt train to and from Erfurt.
