Foundation of the Ursulines Duderstadt
Foundation of the Ursulines Duderstadt
The convent in Duderstadt was founded in 1700 by Ursuline nuns from Erfurt and was intended to educate and train young girls. Today, the convent consists of several buildings: the convent building, the Church of Our Lady, newly built in 1889-1890, a guest area and a garden. The convent buildings connected to the church were built in half-timbered style. Today, guests can attend seminars and organize conferences. There are also regular cultural readings, concerts and lectures.
