Oettersdorf is a municipality in the Saale-Orla district of Thuringia. It is the seat of the administrative community of Seenplatte.

The landmarks of Oettersdorf are the two Protestant churches.

The Laurentiuskirche became too small due to the steady growth in the population, so St. Martin's Church was built and consecrated in 1843. Due to its construction, it could not support a bell tower, so the Laurentiuskirche with the wonderful sound of its three bells was preserved.
